Results and reports

Collecting answers is easy. Reading them is the job.

A results page that hands you a spreadsheet has done half the work and left you the hard half. This one does the charting, the grouping and the reading, and it never hides what somebody actually wrote.

What is on the page

The right chart per question

Not one chart for everything

An NPS question gets a gauge and the promoter split. An agree scale gets stacked bars. A choice question gets ranked bars. A number gets the spread, the average and the middle value, so one outlier cannot move the headline.

Every question type, and when to use it
Written answers, grouped

Six things, not two hundred

Recurring themes are pulled out of the written answers with a count on each, and a short paragraph says what people kept coming back to and where they disagreed. Answers that rarely repeat get a searchable list instead of a word cloud that would tell you nothing.

How the reading end works
The originals, kept

Nothing is tidied up

Every written answer stays on the page exactly as it was typed, searchable, in full. The summary sits above them as a way in, never as a replacement for them.

A version you can share

Charts out, personal data in

A public results page shows the charts and the counts and nothing else. No written answers, no email addresses, no dates or times that could identify one respondent. It is kept out of search engines as well.

A written question, read back

The part that used to cost you an afternoon.

Sixty four people answered one open question. Read one at a time that is an hour of scrolling and a vague impression at the end of it. Grouped, it is three findings and one sentence you can take to a meeting.

What would make this a better place to work?
Not enough notice about changes19 of 64
The team itself, spoken about warmly15 of 64
No clear route to progress11 of 64
“I found out about the new process from a customer before anybody told me.”

Across the survey. The tone is loyal but tired. People speak well of each other and badly of how decisions reach them, and those two things come up together often enough to be one finding rather than two.

Hear about it your way

Get an email the moment an answer lands, or one summary a day, or nothing at all until you open the page. Switch between them whenever you like, and everybody sharing the survey picks their own.

Nothing stops collecting

Your survey keeps taking answers and every one of them is kept. Leave it open for a week or a year, and the page stays current as more come in.

They stay yours

Your answers export to a spreadsheet and anything you delete is gone for good. They stay yours to control from the first one to the last.

Ask this morning. Read it this afternoon.
